Summer Rose Baby

Yesterday at the stitch group I was working on a crochet cape "Cold Shoulders" from the book "The Happy Hooker"  I was making it for a newborn baby, My cousin Patricia had her first baby girl a day ago and named her Ciara, I'm glad to say both mother and baby are doing great!

I had only just finished my "Sarah's Baby" set last week >>> LINK, and to be honest I just couldn't see myself doing another blanket! so that is what gave me the idea of the cape, It worked up so quickly that I got it done in a couple of hours and managed to make a matching hat (my own pattern)

I was delighted with how the hat came out - it is very soft and flexible, I am holding a "How to crochet a hat" workshop at the stitch group next Saturday, I will show adult or baby hats so I think I will use the pattern from this hat as my example.

I think the hat and cape really look so cute and has a vintage look to it, what do you think?

The roses came from a pack I got from America

I love the Cold Shoulders Pattern and I think this is my 13th project using it!! That must be some kind of record?!
